21 de abril de 2021, 0:30La Paz, Apr 21 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia reported 35 femicides from January to April 19, according to the Specialized Prosecutor s Office for Crimes against Life and Personal Integrity. The director of the institution, Sergio Fajardo, informed that the last two incidents were perpetrated in the departments of Santa Cruz and La Paz, while in the country, eight child s murders were committed in this period.
Meanwhile, at the end of the first quarter of the year, the Prosecutor s Office confirmed 31 cases of femicides and five child s murders at the national level, while the nation ended 2020 with at least 113 women who were killed as a result of men s violence.

A recent study in The Lancet suggested strong evidence that the primary route of transmission of the novel coronavirus is airborne.
If there was any consolation earlier that Covid-19 doesn’t appear to be a major concern for children’s health, the latest study by The Lancet suggests otherwise.
The study published in the medical journal has reaffirmed airborne transmission of Covid-19, making children of all ages equally susceptible to catch infections as their adult counterparts.

The Missouri House ethics committee on Monday formally accused a Kansas City-area lawmaker of abusing his kids and recommended his expulsion.
In a 12-page report released Monday, the half-Republican, half-Democratic panel said it had confirmed allegations that Rep. Rick Roeber, R-Lee’s Summit, sexually abused two of his young children in 1990 and physically and mentally abused all four.
The committee further said that their findings revealed Roeber as “unfit to serve as a representative in the Missouri General Assembly.”
The panel lamented that Roeber’s ex-wife and the children had reported the abuse for decades ago to no avail, and made clear its desire to remedy that with lengthy excerpts from testimony it heard from Roeber’s children and notes on how he could be charged criminally.
